Welcome to Juniper Whiskers Pet Store

At Juniper Whiskers, we're passionate about providing the best for your beloved pets. Our mission is to offer both conventional and some of your more obscure pets along with high-quality products and exceptional service that enhance the lives of pets and their families. When you purchase from us in this area we are happy to arrange a time to meet in Calgary or for you to come pick up pets and products at our home based business on an appointment only basis. We are also happy to ship at buyers expense and risk (also dependent on weather conditions).

We are a husband and wife team local to the Calgary, Alberta, Canada area where we reside on a small farm. 

Jessica has always had a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes since she came into the world, growing up on a farm where her family raised elk, bison, horses and cows. Much to her parents dismay, she would regularly come home with anything from kittens and chickens to goats, hedgehogs and snakes. This love for animals grew into extensive research into a wide variety of pets, usually the odd and unusual, and she started breeding bearded dragons, ball pythons, rabbits and everything in between. Along the way she created a small business where she taught horse riding lessons to kids and beginners and offered kids farm birthday parties. This endeavor was quite successful and gave her the opportunity to meet incredible people and open up new avenues along the way which has led to the creation of Juniper Whiskers Pets.

Justin on the other hand didn't have as much experience but was always eager to learn and build any and every habitat for any crazy idea Jessica had along the way. His talents lay in the online world of coding and technology. With these skills he has been able to make this pipe dream of Jessica's a reality. Although he didn't have as much as the reptile, mammal and bird experience, Justin had always been mystified by the world of fish, starting with breeding piranhas long before he even knew Jessica existed. He was more than happy to share the knowledge of the fish world with his wife and teach her some valuable lessons along the way. Jessica promised when they got married that their life will never be boring and Justin has come to realize she kept her end of the bargain.
